Titan displays at the Saskatchewan Mining Association Annual Environmental Conference

Titan displayed and sponsored the Saskatchewan Mining Association Annual Environmental conference at the Saskatoon Inn on October 27, 2014.

 

 Titan's display focused on its wood waste recycling solutions and its innovative bio-products for mine reclamation, re-vegetation, and ‎remediation.  

​

Titan's Jamie Bakos, and Jason Praski represented Titan at the event. Jason Praski stated "it was great to see some old friends and it was important to learn about the new challenges faced by the mining sector. Our bio-products are on the leading edge of helping mining companies reduce their environmental liabilities and use greener solutions."

Titan's Jamie Bakos leads sessions for "Une économie tournée VERT l’avenir" in Regina

Titan Clean Energy was an invited speaker and presenter for the conference held by Le Conseil de la Coopération de la Saskatchewan (CCS) entitled Une économie tournée VERT l’avenir at the Ramada Inn, Regina on October 4, 2014.

​

The conference had four themes: entrepreneurship, tourism, green economy and partnerships at the municipal level. Titan’s CEO Jamie Bakos led three workshop sessions on clean technology and entrepreneurship in Saskatchewan.  

Bakos commented, "I am extremely impressed by the three co-presenters.  I can see some tremendous opportunities for collaboration and economic growth across the Prairies and beyond.   The inspirational keynote by Gabriel Grenier was the highlight of the event."

He went on to say, “ I thank the organizers who must be congratulated for all their hard work on this outstanding conference.   We look forward to on-going learning and interaction."

Titan attends the Recycling Council of Alberta's annual conference

Titan attended the recycling council of Alberta’s Conference on October 1st to 3rd in beautiful Lake Louise.

 

The theme “Recycling in the Rockies – A Waste Reduction Expedition” focused on waste reduction, recycling, and resource conservation in Alberta. This year’s gathering explored a wide range of topics, including food waste diversion, commercial and institutional recycling, Zero Waste special events, and other innovative programs and technologies in the recycling industry.

Titan's President and CEO Jamie Bakos, Operations Manager Dean Friesen, and Director Roger Sarrazin were very impressed by the quality of the presentations and the level of energy at the event.

ACAAFS awards Titan funding for soil remediation research

The Agriculture Council of Saskatchewan (ACAAFS) has awarded Titan Clean energy a grant towards quantifying the improvements of specific combinations of compost and biochar on plant growth. 

​

Titan has a history of developing new applications and treatment processes for organic waste and ag by-products. 

CEO Jamie Bakos was happy with the news of the financial support from ACAAFS, "these grants can help smaller businesses like Titan proceed with the R&D we need to be able to bring bioremediation advances to the marketplace. Support from ACAAFS allows us to think about new applications for our products, and helps us take these ideas forward".
