A facility that integrates biomass conversion processes to produce fuels and other products such as chemicals from biomass. The bio-refinery concept is analogous to petroleum refineries, which produce multiple grades of oil and gasoline and specialty products such as lubricants and plastics from petroleum. All of the technologies used by Titan can be used in series or parallel to facilitate this goal of a bio-refinery facility. Titan’s Craik facility is one of the few advanced bio-refineries in Canada.
