Established in 2006, Titan Clean Energy Projects develops ways to produce sources of clean energy and carbon-smart products. We are bio-recyclers, turning underutilized biomass into value-added products such as heating briquettes, absorbents, compost, biochar and syngas. Our projects deliver clean biomass energy, fuels, and bio-products to the Canadian marketplace.
According to the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute, the annual supply potential of biomass in the form of agricultural residues, energy crops, recovered wood waste and other biomass waste is almost 15% of the entire world energy consumption annually. This valuable material is often left to slowly decompose in landfills, contributing to greenhouse gasses and necessitating the ever-increasing expansion of these landfills. We intend to divert as much biomass a possible from the waste stream and create new products from the organic matter.
We use existing clean technologies, technologies at the pre-commercial demonstration stage, and conduct research and development for new ways to turn waste biomass into commodities. We are constantly finding new carbon-smart solutions to manage organic waste.
